teachers of the Faery Way!
 Throughout history, humans have sought to describe the faery realm in stories, songs, and images, yet these are only shadows of the deep and complex reality of the Otherworlds. As you watch the video above, and listen to the haunting music by Gary Stadler and Wendy Rule, you may get a feeling. And if you follow that feeling you may find a true connection with the world of faerie. It is very much a world of feeling, though you may also see and hear the beings there. You will notice that I use different spellings for fairy (the little winged nature spirits that frequent our gardens and fields) and faerie (or faery) indicating the broader realm of beings who inhabit the Otherworlds, some of which are quite large and powerful. Faeries are the angels of the Underworlds of Earth. Angels are the faeries of the Upperworlds of the sky. Both exist in a dimension that is less dense than ours, yet our worlds overlap. Both include a wide variety of beings. Both may or may not be friendly to humans. If they are friendly, they can become powerful allies and co-workers.  Unfortunately, our collective lack of perception of Otherworldly inhabitants has brought about a trivialization of faeries in the media, on the one hand, and a rampant disregard for the spirits of nature (and nature itself) on the other. It is my belief that we need to reconnect with our faerie, plant, and animal allies in mutual respect to restore harmony to our minds and bodies, as well as healing to the areas of our planet that we have damaged. FairySource.com is a testimonial to the faery realms and the wonderful faery beings who have touched my life.I have seen them and felt them and heard them, and they have brought me healing. I hope many more people will be willing to make it known that they "believe in faeries," because that will give others courage to open their eyes and hearts to the world of faery. The faeries have much to teach us that is sorely needed in our world and we have much to share with them. Together, as we walk the faery way, we can help to make Earth the paradise it is meant to be. wonderful, uplifting feeling you get when walking through a flower
garden, or sitting by a wild stream is largely due to the influence of
fairies who help to clear your energy. Because we are part of nature,
the fairies take care of us in the same way they take care of plants
and animals.One way to keep fairies close by is to keep living flowers and potted plants in your house. Flowers and plants have fairies that watch over them, and so do your pets! Be sure to give the fairies gifts of gratitude for their help. They love shiny things, baked goods, and chocolate (but chocolate is toxic to pets, so make sure you don't leave it where animals can find it.) The fairies love to have their flowers appreciated and they usually don't mind that people pick a few of them - but always be sure to ask, and leave plenty of flowers growing so the plants can form seeds! Healing
 Nature Spirits and Angels are always ready to help in our healing, because we are part of nature. There is only one "catch." We have to ask. When you are feeling out of balance, mentally, emotionally, or physically, find a quiet place in nature and ask that the faeries uplift and heal your body, mind, and soul. Relax and enjoy. If you are sensitive to energy, you will feel a wonderful energetic massage that leaves you feeling refreshed and happy. Thank
them by offering a gift of food or something pretty, or ask if there is
something you can give them in return. The
more we work with these powerful beings, the more we will bring
ourselves and our world into
harmony and
balance.
 Finding
Lost Pets
Faeries love and protect animals and all of nature, so of course they know right where to look for a lost pet. I am a part-time nanny and one of the girls I take care of lost her wonderful black cat, Ryan. He disappeared for a whole week, and though we searched the neighborhood and put up signs, we still hadn't found him. Then I happened to be in a book store where I picked up Doreen Virtue's book, Fairies 101. In it there was a story about asking the faeries to help find lost pets. Of course! Why hadn't I thought of that? I immediately went out to the garden and asked the faeries to help us find Ryan and bring him home safe and healthy. I placed a gift (a silver musical clef that had once been an earring) out in the flower bed, and I thanked them for their help. The next day the family called me and said one of the girls had gone next door to pick up a ball she had accidentally tossed over the fence. When she walked past their garage, who should jump up to look out the window, but Ryan! Here's the really strange part of the story. The girl's mother had gone into this garage with the neighbor a couple of days earlier to search for Ryan and had not found him! Only after I asked the faeries for help did he appear. He was perfectly healthy and happy, even after a week of being locked in the garage with no food or water. Of course the family and I are overjoyed to have him back home!   This
